Vestas has received an order for 504 megawatts (MW) for the commissioning of a wind project in Colombia, which includes the delivery and installation of 90 V162-5.6 MW wind turbines from the EnVentus platform, as reported by the company in a statement.
An Active Output Management 5000 contract is also included for the operation and maintenance of the park for the next 15 years. This agreement will see the EnVentus wind turbine platform entering the Latin American market and reaching 2 gigawatts (GW) of orders worldwide.

The company has indicated that this is the second order it has received in Colombia in six months and has assured that it has more than 12 GW installed or under construction in the Latin American region.
